HomeWith EaseUS Todo Backup, you can backup individual files and folders, also backup all word, excel, etc. documents on your local hard disk or on network. EaseUS Todo Backup supports hot backup that backs up files and folders even they are open.
1. Launch EaseUS Todo Backup, click Data backup (File, Disk/Partition).

2. Enter Task/Plan name and Description for your file backup. By default, the name and description are given based on the backup time and backup type.

3. Click File, you can select files to backup via User defined or File type.

Case 1: The default, you select files via User defined. You can choose a single file or folder, or many files or folders for backup objective, also select the data on the network to backup network data.
Case 2: If you select files via File type, You can choose backup based on file types - Documents Files, E-mail, Financial Files, Music Files, Picture Files, and Video Files, etc. Each type supports multi file formats. Tick the types you want to backup.

You can click Add to add new file type, in Add New Type window, you input Type Name and corresponding file type.

4. After the file selection, you click the horizontal column Destination to select backup storage location.

5. Tick off the options to Check backup image integrity after backup and Preserve file security settings in backup. Turn on I will preserve image files, and input days to preserve images or the number of last backup files you want to preserve.
What's more, you can choose to preserve the first image. If you want to modify the selected files, click the horizontal column Source to switch window.

6. Set backup schedule for your backups. Click Turn on and pop up the Schedule window. Set schedule to backup files later, daily, weekly, monthly or upon event. Click OK to apply the schedule, click Do not schedule to cancel plans.
Note: enter account and password with Administrator privilege to make the schedule take effect.

7. Click Backup options and pop up the following window, set backup compression, password, splitting etc. Click OK to apply the settings, click Reset to initial settings to disable the settings.

8. Click Proceed to perform file backup.
Tips: If you set a password for the image file, you need to confirm this password when you check or restore the backup mage.
1. Launch EaseUS Todo Backup, click File recovery.

2. In File recovery window, select an image in the list to recover. If you have created incremental backup, differential backup or schedule backup before, there will be more than one image file listed, and you may fix the image via its Name and Created time.
If the image is not in the list, you can click Browse to locate the image manually. Click Next.

3. Confirm the backup information, and click Next.

4. Select recovery method to restore files, click Next.

Case 1: Recover specific files or folders
Manually specify all or part of the files or folders under the image file, only the selected files or folders can be recovered.
Case 2: Recover files by types
Select certain file type(s) to recover.
Case 3: Search files to recover
You can enter full name or part of name to search.
5. Select recovery location, click Next.

Case 1: Recover to original location
To recover the file or folder image to its original location completely with the folder directory.
Case 2: Specify a recovery location
The selected file or folder image will be recovered to a new location without recovering the original file directory. If you have already had the same files in the destination path, please tick Replace existing files. You can click Create to create a new folder.
6.Confirm recovery information, click Proceed.
