HomeThis is a feature of EaseUS Todo Backup and if you have set this item in the backup or scheduled backup process or in the Backup management, the product will send an email to inform you whether backup is successful or failed after the operation finished. But some users may have trouble in using this function and this part is mainly about how to set an email notification successfully.
1. Firstly, please go to the Option window. In the process of setting a backup or scheduled backup, or in the Backup management. Then, click "Notification".
The items introduction in this window:
E-mail address - specify an email address to receive the email notification.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - specify an email server to send the email notification to the specified email address.
Port - specify a port number for the send email server.
Username - specify the username to login the send email server.
Password - specify the password to login the send email server.
Send test message - test whether you can receive the email notification successfully.
Additional notification settings:
Send notification when operation succeeds - EaseUS Todo Backup will send an email notification to you when the operation succeeds.
Send notification when operation fails - EaseUS Todo Backup will send an email notification to you when the operation fails.
2. You should fill in your emailaddress in the "E-mail address" which will inform you whether the backup is successful after the operation finished.
3. Fill in the "Outgoing mail server" with the information of your email you used in the "E-mail address".
4. Fill in the "Username" with the username to login your email and the "Password" with the password of your email.
5. When you select the two items in the "Additional notification settings", the system will inform you the operation is successful or failed after it is finished by your email.
Examples
Here we take username@gmail.com and username@hotmail.com for example.
1. username@gmail.com:

In the picture above, the username@gmail.com is the email address you use which you should fill in the 'E-mail address' and 'Username' items. As the SMTP and Port is different for different emails, so you should check beforehand and fill in the two items precisely. Then, please fill in the 'Password' of your Email.
2. username@hotmail.com:

For hotmail, it is similar with the gmail above. The only different is the different SMTP and Port. As you have filled in all the information correctly, please click 'OK' and then you have set the email notification successfully.
Notes
1. The Outgoing mail server (SMTP) must be the SMTP of your email filled in above.
2. The Username and Password must be the username and password of your email or the operation will be failed.
With this function, you can manage your backup or scheduled backup better that you could know the final result of the operation.
