Compress

A backup file can be compressed. By default, there is no compression for backups.

You can choose the compression level for a backup archive:

Normal - the recommended data compression level. (set by default)
High - higher image file compression level, takes more time to create a backup archive.
Maximum - maximum backup archive compression, but takes a long time to create.

Note:

The optimal data compression level depends on the types of file stored in the archive. For example, even maximum compression will not significantly reduce the archive size if the archive contains essentially compressed files, like .jpg, .pdf or .mp3
