Why cannot I select the protected partition(s) as destination when restore?

Q: Why cannot I select the protected partition(s) as destination when restore?

A: If Snapshot is enabled, both the system partition and the partition on which Snapshot is stored will be protected. You cannot selecte them as destination, it is protected to ensure the system can boot successfully. If you want to choose the partition as destination when restoring, you need to disable Snapshot beforehand.
