FAQ

Q: What should I do if EASEUS Todo Backup asks me to do a sector-by- sector backup?

A: When EASEUS Todo Backup fails to check your partition/disk, you will be asked to do a sector-by-sector backup. To solve the problem, please try the following methods.

First, please run "chkdsk x: /r" command (x: is the partition which you want to backup). Actually, sometimes the chkdsk utility may miss some errors, so CHKDSK or other utility shows your partition ok while EASEUS Todo Backup finds the errors in your partition and fails to check it. In the situation, we suggest you trying to run chkdsk three more times. After that, please try EASEUS Todo Backup again.

Second, please run EASEUS Todo Backup three more times. In this situation, our program may successfully check your partition/disk.

Third, if all the solutions fail, please send chkdsk log to support@todo-backup.com for further analyzing. (Please right click on 'My Computer'; then select 'Manage/System Tools/Event Viewer/Application'; You will find a record where the 'Source' item shows as 'Winlogon'; please double click on this record, and copy the content of 'Description' to us.)

Fourth, please change "Temporary file path" in "Option" to another partition which is not the source partition you want to backup or the destination partition in which you want to save the image file. Then EASEUS Todo Backup will do a sector-by-sector backup.
