To make frequent backups is necessary to protect your important data, but also requires large disk space to store the image file. EaseUS Todo Backup provides function to compress image file to save more disk space without deleting any image files.

It offers you four levels to compress the image file: None, Normal, Medium and High. By default, the compression level is Normal. You can choose the compression level for a backup archive:

  • None - data will be copied without any compression, which may significantly increase the backup file size.
  • Normal - recommended data compression level.
  • Medium - takes more time to create a smaller backup image.
  • High - takes a long time to create a backup image of a smallest size.

How to compress backup image file?

1. Launch EaseUS Todo Backup and click Backup -> File backup.

2. Click Backup options and select Compression.

3. Click OK to apply settings, click Reset to initial settings to cancel settings.

Note:

The optimal data compression level depends on the types of file stored in the archive. For example, even maximum compression will not significantly reduce the archive size if the archive contains essentially compressed files, like .jpg, .pdf, .mp3, etc.
