Image splitting to fit the storage device

What can image splitting do for you?

After you backup files, where do you plan to store your image file? And what are you going to do when you encounter following cases.

  • After you backup your files, you find the image file is too big and not fit for the storage device.
  • You want to store your image file on a FAT drive, but the largest file that FAT supports is 4GB.
  • You want to split up the images into chunks of files so you can burn them to CD/DVD.

Image splitting function with EaseUS Todo Backup allows you to split the backup image according to your needs.

How to split the backup image?

1. Launch EaseUS Todo Backup and click Backup -> File backup.

2. Click Backup options and select Splitting.

3. Select Automatic or Manual and select the device from the drop-down list.

Note: Images can be split into several files to fit the type of the storage media, it depends on the file system of the destination storage media. Please make sure all the splitted images are stored under the same folder so that restore can be achieved successfully.

4. Click OK to apply settings, click Reset to initial settings to cancel settings.
